The third edition of
TURKCOAT EURASIA has been organized between
8-11 October 2009. Due to the success of this organization, the Coatings industry is quite excited about the forthcoming event which will be organized between
6-8 October 2011.
TURKCOAT EURASIA 2011 – EAST MEETS WESTIt's not only the most important coatings event in Turkey, but also in Eastern Europe & Middle East Area
In 2009, from Eastern Europe to the Middle East, from Turkic Republics to Northern Africa from
64 Countries 1.439 Foreign visitors + 5.872Local visitors (Total 7.311visitors) have visited the exhibition and contacted with
165 exhibitors from 22 countries (Austria, Belgium, China, Croatia, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Iran, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UAE, UK, Ukraine, USA).
The success of the event in the local as well as in the international market will continue its growth in 2011. The promotion activities of
TURKCOAT EURASIA 2011 in the international markets will be continued and the target is to increase the number of the exhibitors and also the visitors.
At a Glance... - - The total capacity of the paint and coatings industry in Turkey is around 1 million ton/year and with its 65% capacity consumption it is at the fifth place in Europe. Every year the sector continues its growth and within the coming years it will be one of the three biggest paint and coatings producer of Europe and its goal is to be the manufacturing center of the sector in Europe.
- - Important producers of the sector referring to the last 5 years where the export increased almost 170% are expecting that the sector will reach an export of 600 million dollars in 2010.
- - One of the most important changes in the process of Turkey to be a member of the EU were the regulations of the technical paint and coatings standards. At this field important progresses are made in the last period.
- - Turkey's paint and coatings industry imports around 65% of their raw materials and 25% of the finished products.
- - The last 10 years economic parameter of Turkey, with its ascending investments and its production power, Turkey attracts the attention of foreign capital to the local paint and coatings industry. An important part of the large paint and coatings producers are working integrated with foreign capital companies.
- - The needs of raw materials of water based paints are for more than 50% imported. 70% of the totalpaint and coatings raw materials are pigments.
- - In the constructions sector 80% of the decorative paints are water based and 20% solvent based. Lately we see an increase in the production of water based paintings and a decrease in solvent based paints.
